Ladislaus Rath Berger
Hungarian
artist, born in Hódmezövasarhely, Hungary in 1947.
Having
passed the basic schools Berger studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest
under professor Barcsay (1960 – 1965), who discovered and furthered the young
artist’s interest in baroque painting.
Berger
soon participated in exhibitions and the most important were those at the studio
“Young Artists in Budapest” in 1968 and at the “Eötvös Club”, also in Budapest,
in 1970.
His
panels through his flawless technique and his compositions were often considered
as works of older artist with greater experience because of the maturity of the
expression.
Berger’s
still life paintings are to be found in galleries both in Europe and the USA
