Daniel Burns
Even a fleeting
encounter with the artist Daniel Burns conveys his infectious love of
life. Daniel has also enjoyed considerable success as an illustrator,
after abandoning his art education, having felt frustrated and
disillusioned with the lack of freedom of expression in a system where he
felt lecturers tried to clone artists.
Daniel Burns’
paintings have always been based on the ever changing British Landscape.
However, he claims; “the Landscape is almost incidental, my main
objectives are to try and capture the atmosphere and ‘spirit’ of a place.
Ultimately it is the mood and light within the painting which becomes the
central theme.”
Other artists
have always provided inspiration for Daniel’s work. He cites Turner, Seago,
Carot and Monet to name but a few.
