Judy Boyes  S.W.A., B.W.S.

Judy Boyes was born in Alton, Hampshire, in 1943 and educated there.  This led to a career in commercial art in Liverpool and London.

Living in the Lake District at Troutbeck Windemere, Judy finds her favourite haunts in local fells and valleys, and with a keen perceptive eye she transcribes them in watercolours of a richness that are a feast and a joy to behold.

Judy sells her originals and prints throughout Britain and abroad.

A member of the Society of Women Artists and the British Watercolour Society, Judy is also an exhibitor of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours at Mall Galleries in London.  The "Artist" magazine has featured her work on its cover and in written articles and Judy has won awards for her Lakeland scenes.  The North Western Postal Board has used Judy's paintings of letter-boxes for publicity purposes and Christmas cards.
