Michael
Barnfather was born in Derby in 1934. He studied at; Derby College of Art for
twelve months before his first exhibition at Belper Art Club in 1951, and at
Shrewsbury College of Art during National Service in the R.A.F. from 1955 to
1957. Michael Barnfather assumed full professional status in 1964 with an
opening exhibition at McPhersons Gallery, Bristol.
