As anyone who has been to this beautiful city knows, it somehow gets under your skin and leaves an indelible memory that cannot be erased but instead demands to be refreshed by another visit. This has also been my experience and yet another trip is always part of my plans. The classical elegance and timeless streets, free of cars and buses, makes it truly unique" |

"As a contrast, the racing yachts I paint may seem to be a complete change in subject matter, but the connection to Venice is there. Like Venice, these yachts hold a timeless grace and elegance, even though my principal subjects usually date from around 100 years ago - their lines seem to be as modern today as they were when built. She is recognised as one of the great social observer's of our time and in 1995 was awarded an OBE. In celebration of Beryl Cook's life we have gathered together a unique collection of Beryl Cook's Portfolio, including some very rare editions, rarely seen, and long sold out.

From Wilmslow to Venice and back again…
It's nearly 16 years since an aspiring artist Martin Stuart Moore wandered the streets of Wilmslow, making notes and taking photographs of buildings that he felt contributed to the character of the town. These he weaved into an imaginary composition to represent the place in a single composition, ‘Memories of Wilmslow’. Now 16 years on he’s back in town at the Unicorn Gallery on Water Lane to celebrate the completion of the newest addition to his collection, ‘Memories of Venice’. He will be in attendance at the gallery on Saturday 30th September to meet customers and discuss his work.
