Vincent
Selby studied music and art by private tuition and at Stockport College, taking
courses of instruction under various artists in the 1930's.
In
1946 he served in the Royal Artillery. On
his return to civilian life he was employed in display and interior design.
In 1973 he began painting professionally, full-time.
He
was greatly influenced by the work of the 19th century English school landscape
painters.
Original
paintings and prints from his work are displayed and sold in galleries
throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
